Mothers Day Rally 12th May 2013

Last Sunday’s Mothers Day rally was a bit different for Wamboin Pony Club. Not only were we joined by two new riders – Kayla and Abbie but everyone was treated to a special lunch. Being Mothers Day we decided to make it a fun family day. In the morning riders ran through the usual troop drill then spent some time on the Cross Country jumping coarse. Meanwhile lunch of Hot homemade pumpkin soup and roast lamb rolls was prepared by resident canteen “chef” Steve. As well as the everpresent mothers we were also joined by grandmothers and a couple of grandfathers for a hearty feed. There were some rave reviews about the food, finished off with tasty cupcakes (thanks Stacey). Rather full riders spent the afternoon on the Mounted Games course – a few horses finding the Balloon race an interesting new experience. Thanks to Instructor Toni for lending a hand, lovely to have you back. See everyone at our next rally day in June.
