A small but enthusiastic group of Wamboin riders gathered on Sunday 24th March for our second rally day this month. We welcomed new rider Rosemary on her new pony Molly. Riders spent the morning after the usual troop drill then practised some Mounted Games. Getting that ball can be tricky depending on how big your horse is....thanks to Laura for passing on some good advice to riders on how to improve individual games skills. How could we have a rally day before easter and not have an easter egg hunt. Riders searched the grounds for those elusive chocolate eggs and all came back with a bag full. Peter, Rod and Steve spent the afternoon concreting the clubhouse steps one of the jobs that needed doing as we try to improve our grounds, riders practiced their jumping. Next rally day will be in May as a number of our memebers will attend zone camp next month which sees pony club members from around the area spend a week at Bungendore showground improving riding skills and having fun.
