What a great turnout for a cool winter rally day. 14 riders and horses braved the chilly winds and gathered for our rally day last Sunday. We welcomed another new rider Claudia and her horse Keg to our club. The club is training hard for the upcoming Mounted Games competition. Our young riders are learning some of the tricky games and challenges that this competition brings. Instructors Robin, Leanne and Toni ran everyone through their paces spending some time jumping in the morning. The main arena proving itself once again since its resurfacing that it can hold up after the wet weather and it was still good to ride on. Lunch was enjoyed by all and the afternoon was a hive of activity on the main arena practicing mounted games such as postman, balloon race, milk the cow, sword race and sock race, lots for new riders and horses to learn but good fun. Thanks to workers Chris, Peter and Rod for helping around the grounds with cleanup. A great day was had by all. See you at the Mounted games in Bungendore.
