Camp site setting up was well underway on Saturday when I payed a short visit, Steve and Matty Quick seemed to be well organised if the fire bin and load of wood was any indication. Caravan’s were being positioned, Sammi and Leanne were pitching in on the working bee for camp set up, and this was all by 9.30am! Of course WPC life member, Toni Cuthbertson, was in the thick of things as Camp Secretary, but she looked to be well prepared.
Riders at this year’s camp can look forward to a jam packed programme and plenty of fun along the way. Here’s who’s where:
Ellie Haseler is in the Swans Troop, Caitlin Hackett is a Labrador, Sammi Quick and Sarah Williams are in the Panthers Troop, Victoria Evans is a Tiger (really!) and Zoe Haseler is with the Lyrebirds.
Stay tuned for a full report on Camp when these six riders and their families “de-camp” on Saturday April 21.
Of course, they won’t be leaving the Bungendore Showgrounds without first watching the pony club international mounted games exchange competition, featuring another WPC member, Penny Slater as part of the Australian team.
I am sure we all wish Penny and the Aussie team the best of luck!
