Wamboin riders at Zone 16 Mounted Games

A cool August Saturday at Bungendore Showground and 60 odd riders gathered in their teams for the annual Zone 16 Mounted Games competiton. Wamboin team the "Wildcats" ( Elle, Sammi, Vicki, Caitlin and Claudia) as well as Associate riders Laura and Amy who were in mixed Zone teams were all in fine form. The Wildcats managed Second place in the junior competiton and the girls managed too secure a number of times which meant they can move onto the Sate competition in October. Because this years event had a smaller turnout of riders it was cut back to one day. Parents and helpers probably appreciated less time standing in the cold and smaller numbers meant the competition ran smoothly and quickly.Thanks go to all the Wamboin parent helpers, our teams couldn't compete without you. Thanks also to Katie Slater who used her many years of Mounted Games experience to assist and train the Widcats and to Sally for managing that team. Well done all Wamboin riders for a successful day.
